I am always intrigued and curious to see what other designers use to do their work. So it is always a pleasure to see what other professionals use. Here is a list of tools that Tim Bednar uses. Hopefully you can pick up a few too.
DesignEducation.ca - Thousands of Design Resources:
After seeing this link on Elliot Swan’s blog I just couldn’t help but post it here as well. This is a wonderful resource for just about anything design related.
A few others: Web Developer’s Handbook , Blue Vertigo
I stumbled across this the other day. It is quite a neat tool, for taking some RSS feeds and making them portable. What is even better is that all the links remain web links so it is a true translation from web to PDF.
fyi: On Wednesday, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be:
01:02:03 04/05/06
This will not happen again until 2106 (so needless to say in our lifetime).
Just something interesting thought you might like to waste some time learning that.
…till then Stay Focused!
Version 2 of the Lightbox Photo Gallery I wrote about on January 5th. A few new tweaks, transitions, and slideshow attributes were added to this version. Load times seem to have slowed down with all the new tweaks, but haven’t decreased its usefulness.
Based on the same concept as Lightbox, this cool little application is ‘hover’ based as the name indicates. I would suggest that while you can use this straight out of the box, take a look at the comments on that topic as there are already some sweet tweaks to it. Great Job Nathan!
